Many child-welfare agency caseworkers and social workers rely on incomplete printouts and quick scans of their office computer screens before leaving to investigate a complaint or make a regular home visit. But an agency operating in New York City's Harlem neighborhood and in suburban counties of the city has equipped 55 of its visiting workers with global positioning system-enabled mobile phones running software that accurately records whom they visit, when, and for how long.
Using drop-down menus in the app, agency workers record notes during each visit. Pros Program Director was well informed. Clients were appropriate. Cons Everything else. Homefinding Case Worker. Case Aide Family Foster Care. Not much growth within the company, and there has been lost of instability.
No questions asked. Director are very firm with delivering of numbers that obtained programs open. Otherwise then this. You have good time. Yes There are 1 helpful reviews 1 No There are 1 unhelpful reviews 1. I appreciate the fact management cares for the staff to realize we must stay safe by staying home. I had a great experiences working as a member of the company. Back to Junior High. A typical day at work is putting up with tyrannical supervisors, and bully coworkers. There are no one to go to when you need someone to talk to, and if you make the mistake of talking to someone in management beware, you can be terminated.
This is an aged toxic work environment. You'll find even racist individuals there. There is tons of work, the turnover ratio is the highest in the nation.
Do yourself a favor and don't go there. It is better to be broke but in peace than to have a paycheck with permanent misery. There is a sense of entitlement with upper management.
You would think with most of the clients and staff being minorities there would be more minorities on the VP and management level. There is only two. The HR department has a high turnover. The entire HR team has been there less than a year. Every time I call for help there is a new person to contact because someone left. The turnover is about half the staff. The VP over the education department is rude and speaks down on everyone and nothing is said or done.
The VP over children and families, if she likes you then your good, if not she will do everything in her power to get rid of you and she is overly involved in everything.
No employee appreciations, bonuses, training, etc. Pros PTO and holidays. Cons Lack of advancement, no training, no support, lacks diversity at management level. There is no job security here and no training. Senior management team is not supportive and lack care for staff.
Turnover is more than half the staff. I was there three years, and I was the longest employee in my department before I left. Average time of employment in my department was 10 months - to a year. There is no room for advancement. Terrible culture. We had a town hall and the CEO who we never see, but works at the same location was rude when one of the staff asked a simple question, so no one feels safe to speak up.
Once you speak up, you are a problem to senior management team. They do nothing for the staff. We have to pay for the Christmas parties. I was receiving. Horrible, lack of support and no boundaries. The previous Management were horrible.
They were racist, and had no caring in the world for the middle management. The agency CEO is not someone who understood the culture of the environment. She was more focus on hers and agency's reputation than helping those who were being bullied.
