Ftdi driver blue screen

Geez, I am not trying to go back a year, but even that does not work. At the moment, I have only one older computer that works with the old device, and since I need to be able to maintain it, I am scared to death of doing anything with that machine for fear of messing it up too.

I have a spare hard drive and I will install a fresh copy of Win7 and try to start from scratch, but I do not have time for that now.

Any help appreciated. Dump file available I suppose, since the BSDO says it is saving it, but I do not know where it is , if someone can tell me where it is Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. There appears to be a mismatch between the ftser2k. The driver I downloaded from the link above does not have an install program.

Since the laptop crashes immediately when I plug the device, how am I supposed to install this driver? I tried to install directly from the right-click menu when clicking the inf files, but the driver does not allow installation that way. I was able to upload softwqre to my target and run the debugger via the API and run the target over the emulated serial port at the same time. I just would like to go back to what I had, but there is no way to tell what driver I had, even though I believe it was installed in the spring of this year.

As suggested in the post, we have tried with no avail to get a USB to Serial adapter to work since Windows 10 update. We put a serial port sniffer on the machine and can see the data getting transmitted to the device, an Epson TM-U serial printer that we use all over the place. Worked great up to this update. Any help, suggestions, advice would be appreciated. To continue this discussion, please ask a new question.
