Game port - to-midi adapter cable

Hey All, I seached the forum first with no luck. Any Thoughts? Go to options - midi - and highlight the midi device. It should say "external device" or MPU or something. Jason Archibald. I think i've had issues before where the midi port wasn't recognized until the computer booted once with something plugged into it.

New situation. I saw that there was no game port on the back of my machine only "I-Link" it had three rows of pins. So, the game port was plugged into a "game port to USB" connector.

I don't think that works with macs you will need a different kind of midi interface USB are the cheapest Thank You. I don't think that works with macs umm.. Sonar doesn't really work with macs either. So Ryan - did you get it figured out? Those USB to gameport adapters are only for the joysticks they come with, i. Also, not all gameports are midi compatible. I think I have it figured out.

This circuit has been placed into the public domain. You may freely distribute it, and use it in any product you create. This circuit is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind either expressed or implied or tatooed in a place that only a few people have ever seen, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and the dubious assumption that the circuit has been created by a sane individual who would never do anything that may hurt you.

You have two in a row, which means the "polarity" isn't changing. The inputs are wired together, so there is no logic being applied. The only remaining functions it adds are to add a time delay which I am guessing is completely not the point here and to "square up" the outputs and buffer the output, possibly with additional drive current.

I wouldn't remove it, but I would think you could replace it with any inverter circuit, including comparators or op-amps. Or a few transistors, if you prefer. Dystopia wrote: I could just buy an adapter, but they all seem to be stupidly priced once you consider shipping.

Looking to make a gameport to midi adapter 7 posts. Because it's for DOS gaming.
